Spring! (again)

A friend of ours took engagement pictures for us in the quad at UW when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. It was a while ago, but I've been wanting to write about it, so here it is: (Similar to my last post, sorry, but I really love the cherry blossoms!)

Pale pink clouds abound,
Warm breeze carries soft, sweet scent,
Bold, bright blue beyond

Blossoms sway above,
Confetti gently drifting,
Decorates lush green.

Spring is here!

March was a whirlwind. I had finals, and then spent part of spring break down at the Oregon Coast in Cannon Beach, and I got engaged there! :)


Gusts of swirling sand,
Needled curtains reaching out,
Salty swells strike shore.

Gourmet feast flickers,
Windy walk back to relax,
Warm, glowing crackle greets us.

Camera is set,
Fumbling, kneeling, requesting,
Sparkle, embrace, joy.

Picture perfect love,
Clouds clear, sun shines on Haystack,
Blue sky, misty coast.

This weekend was the first warm weekend of spring!! Gorgeous day in Seattle, and cherry blossoms everywhere.

Petals softly float,
Blanketing waves of green blades,
Sweetly scenting air.

Fluffy pale pink clouds,
Gentle against bright bold blue,
Blossoms sway in breeze.

Sunny Weekend in Seattle

There's nothing quite like being able to hike in the winter in Seattle! Blue sky, snowy mountains, amazing views!

On top of the world

Legislative Impact Day

Today my PT class went on a field trip down to Olympia for Legislative Impact Day, to lobby for spinal manipulations, and to prevent cuts to neurodevelopmental pediatric facilities. It was a great experience, and it was one of the most gorgeous days we've had all winter! We had some incredible views from the bus.

Went in to take a practical, even though school was officially closed, which entailed wading through dirty slush over a foot tall to get on the bus. There was also standing water in slush. Must be a Seattle specialty...
