Initially I got the idea to start writing Haikus from a friend of mine (Erica) who suggested I try writing one to win furniture in an online contest. Once I started writing, I just kept going, and realized that I've been seriously lacking some creativity in my life! So here are my first few attempts:
Wind sweeping with force
Threatening the grasp of earth
Tree rooted soundly.
Golden feast awaits
Savory aromas spread
Candles glow warmly.
Glistening shadows
Bright powder softly falling
Winter wonderland.
Wet nose taps my hand
Curling calmly by the fire
Tail tucked in soft snores.
Yay! Be creative!!

No one was annoyed,
and so she kept up with haiku!
